Relief Printing

Relief prints are created by carving the image into linoleum and then adding ink with a brayer. Multiple prints can be created from one carved linoleum block. Color can be added after printing with watercolor or document ink or through the reduction method, where the block is printed in one color, the sections to remain that color are then carved away, and the second, darker color is the printed onto the same paper.
